Blizzard’s onslaught of content with the new World of Warcraft: Shadowlands expansion has been non-stop, and there’s always something new to talk about. One of the biggest implementations of content is coming very soon, with the next weekly reset.

This weekly reset will take place on Tuesday, December 8th, and will include everything an endgame player may want to have. The Castle Nathria raid will be releasing, the first raid of the World of Warcraft: Shadowlands expansion.

If you’ve completed the story campaign, the build-up to storming Castle Nathria is intense and raw, and the gear that you can find inside may even come second to the lore reasons to get the job done. If you haven’t, no spoilers, but you may want to get the quests done soon!

Normal and Heroic difficulties will be releasing this weekly reset, but players won’t be able to get their hands on Mythic and Raid Finder content for a while still.

Castle Nathria is made up of ten bosses, split into several wings. The first section, Blood From Stone, includes three bosses – Shriekwing, Sludgefist, and the Stone Legion Generals. Completing this will allow movement to the next wing.

Second comes another set of three encounters in a wing titled the Leeching Vaults. These three bosses are Huntsman Altimor, the Hungering Destroyer, and Lady Inerva Darkvein, who players may remember from the Revendreth storyline in the campaign.

From there, in the Reliquary of Opulence, players will encounter a classic fan-favorite character amongst the bosses. Artificier Xy’Mox, the Sun King’s Salvation, and the Council of Blood make up this wing.

The Sun King’s Salvation, many may recognize, refers to Kael’thas Sunstrider, former leader of the Blood Elves who aligned himself with Illidan Stormrage the Betrayer in the Burning Crusade expansion. There, players encountered and killed him – multiple times – and the fan favorite has been absent since.

After these wings are cleared, the final boss is the lord of Revendreth and the Eternal One himself, Sire Denathrius. This Mawsworn traitor has been empowered by his pact with the Jailer and awaits the players in his castle in an adequately-titled wing, An Audience with Arrogance.

On normal these bosses will be dropping gear tuned to item level 200, considerably higher than the current mythic dungeon drop item cap of 184. On heroic difficulty, this item level jumps up to 213, becoming considerably more powerful – mirroring the increased difficulty of the raid.

Players won’t be able to get their hand on the Raid Finder difficulty of the raid until later on. The wings release staggered, coming on December 15th, January 5th, January 19th, and February 2nd for the four wings listed above in the same order.
