Now that autumn has arrived, one Pokemon enthusiast has been inspired by the season to create a Leafeon work of art with a harvest motif. The community enjoys the work and finds it endearing.

As a member of the fourth generation of the Eevee evolutionary line, Leafeon is one of the later additions to the game roster. Leafeon, like most Eevee evolutions, is beloved by Pokemon fans and has been depicted in countless works of fan art.

MythRava, a Reddit user and Pokemon lover, recently posted some artwork in the Pokemon subreddit, where they’ve received a lot of positive feedback for their portrayal of Pokemon.

For example, the original Leafeon had a color scheme of green, tan, and brown, but now the Leafeon is primarily tan and brown and blends in perfectly with the falling autumn leaves. An exciting addition to the Pokemon canon would be a variety of Leafeon whose colors and design change with the passing of the seasons, similar to how Deerling and Sawsbuck’s appearances change with the seasons.

MythRava’s admirers were effusive in the post’s comments, with several pointing out that, if true, this would make a tremendous shiny version of Leafeon. At first glance, it can be difficult for some people to tell the difference between a regular and a shiny Leafeon. However, even if the colors don’t shift with the seasons in the game, using a color scheme from a different season will help differentiate the two Leafeon aesthetics.

Since hundreds of Pokemon have been introduced throughout the franchise, there is an almost infinite pool of ideas from which fans can draw. Changing a Pokemon’s type and, by extension, its appearance is a common way for fans to create their unique perspective on the series’ fanarts.

Even though the majority of Pokemon appear to have static designs in the series canon, new Pokemon variants based on the region have been added to the games, often completely reimagining the appearance of classic Pokemon.
