The more bugs you catch, the more points you earn, with a bonus of points given out at 3 bugs. These points can then be exchanged for prizes, while the bugs you catch can be exchanged for bells with Flick if you so choose. Each prize is purchased using 10 points. So what is the quickest way to earn all of the Bug-Off rewards? One surprising tip is to invite your friends! There are bonus points in store for players who participate with others on the same island, and this still counts if you are using multiple characters at one time on a single switch. Players should also keep in mind that all bugs count for the same amount of points regardless of rarity. Besides the bonus at the 3 bug mark, each catch will only net 1 point at a time. This means that easy to catch insects like butterflies, dragonflies, and grasshoppers are more worth your time than ones that are just as likely to fly away.
