Since then, the game mode has been replaced with the far less popular Universe Mode, where players take control of the entire company. There's no point in the mode other than to just book and play through matches and progress through the calendar year. But, there's no competitive element, which is why fans have been clamoring for the return of GM Mode. Well, if you're one of the many who have been asking for the return of GM Mode over the years, then WWE star Xavier Woods might have some good news for you in a few months. "To those of you asking about GM Mode - gimmie 2/3 months and I'll be able to hopefully give you some good news," said Woods on his official Twitter account. While this doesn't confirm that the mode will be in WWE 2K20, it's a strong hint that it'll be confirmed by the devs down the line.
