Anytime PC users have the chance to grab a free game, that's certainly worth celebrating. A lot of developers do it to get their work out to the masses. Others do it for the sake of giving gamers free content. Either way, these free offerings happen every month it seems.\r\n\r\nJust recently, <em>One Monster RPG<\/em> was added to the Itch.io store. As you might guess, it's completely free. For the unique story and interesting cardboard cutout-design, it's a pretty great game worth adding to your PC collection.\r\n\r\nWhere this game picks up is particularly unique. Instead of starting from the beginning where you're compelled to take out a bunch of monsters to save humanity, this game puts your character at the end. There's just one monster left and it's the one thing standing in your way of getting to level 100.\r\n\r\nhttps:\/\/m.youtube.com\/watch?v=8Qc01J7CgwI\r\n\r\nOnly, striking the slime monster down won't net you enough EXP to reach level 100. Instead, you'll have to raise this monster all the way into adulthood -- when it's big, strong, and intimidating. This concept is pretty unique for the RPG genre. It's a game certainly worth checking out, if not for the novelty alone.\r\n\r\nTo help this slime monster grow, you'll have to feed it. This will involve moving about the stage to lure the monster to unsuspecting victims. These include animals, people, and even entire villages. The bigger your monster gets, the more it will be able to consume.\r\n\r\nThere's a catch, though. You can't let this slime monster touch you. If it does, you'll be forced to kill it -- which as mentioned before -- won't net you enough EXP to reach level 100. You'll have to be alert when navigating this monster around. One wrong move will result in the game being over. It's a simple concept, but yet, it seems to be pretty addicting.\r\n\r\nThe visuals are also refreshing to look at. They're uniquely designed and give the game a cartoonish vibe. The added difficulty near the end of the game will also keep you engaged in the action. There will be a point when the monster gets so big that you aren't sure where to go.\r\n\r\n<em>One Monster RPG<\/em> is a fun little game that you'll want to check out today. You won't be grinding through various missions and quests. Instead, your focus is taking care of a slime monster with the intention of killing it at some point. Talk about a huge payoff.
