Anthem Devs have now decided to improve the shooting and looting aspect of the game. If you ever played the game before, you probably would have noticed how it was not pleasant. The shooting wasn't as sensitive as it could be, enemies were pretty hard to kill, and most of the loot acquired wasn't useful. \n \nNotwithstanding, BioWare stated that a full Anthem 2.0 is currently undergoing a redesign and also for Star Wars: The Old Republic. Yesterday, some details were spilled on the official webpage of Bioware on how they’d fic the game’s core shooting and looting parts of the game. \n \n \n \nHere are some of the vital improvements, BioWare is working on: \nRespect Your Time \n• Increase the frequency of Loot Drops \n• Loot is viable more often; All items are better and more competitive, but there's still a chance of getting something exceptional. \n• All loot rarities have strategic value throughout the progression. \n \nEmbrace Choice \n• You can pursue specific loot without relying on randomness alone; Quests; Specialized Vendors; Unique Loot Tables. \n• Modify your loot, including rerolling inscriptions and leveling up items \n \nCreate a Rewarding Loot Experience \n• Loot feels exciting and more noticeable when it drops and is celebrated when collected. \n• Rare enemies (aka “walking treasure chests”) create exciting moments to get a burst of loot all at once. \n \nKeep it Accessible and Immediate. \n• Reveal and equip loot right away \n• Complete revamp of the equipment sheet – including a detailed stat sheet (not shown) \n• The equipment sheet can be accessed from anywhere, allows you to see what you have equipped in each slot easily. \n \nReliability of Equipment and Rewards \n• Each item has an inscription "budget," based on its Power and Rarity \n• No more useless items because they were missing must-have inscriptions (see “Increased weapon dmg by +225%”) \n• Exceptional items are about getting the exact types of bonuses you want, instead of maxing values on every bonus. \n \nScale for the Future \n• Your power cap can easily increase, and the loot system scales accordingly \n• Advanced telemetry data allows us to identify trends and make meaningful balance changes \nIn terms of the shooting aspect, BioWare has improved the gameplay in its responsiveness, with enemies getting whipped instantly on little hits. They also plan on ramping up the melee attacks to make it more useful. Also, BioWare is planning to add more weapon concepts in the picture shown above. \n \nWe can say BioWare Austin is heading in the right direction with Anthem 2.0; still, there's more work to do. \nWhile upgrading the shooting and looting aspect is great, BioWare would have to develop a plan to make the overall game stand out. \n \nThat said, Anthem is now available to play now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. However, Anthem 2.0 may likely launch next year, not this year.
