If you enjoy baseball games, then you probably already know one of the better series is MLB the Show. These games portray MLB baseball better than any others. There are always a bevy of modes to look forward to, and even more importantly, realistic baseball action.

We’re now approaching MLB The Show 20. The game is set to launch in March of next year, and judging by all of the details on the game, it’s shaping up to be quite the baseball simulator. The developer Sony San Diego Studio is looking to take the series to new heights. They also just announced the closed beta is about to begin in January.

This is the perfect window of opportunity to test out the new features and systems firsthand. Since this is a closed beta, you’ll need to sign up for an invitation through PlayStation. It should be noted that only a handful of lucky participants will be selected for this closed beta.

If you’re one of these individuals, you’ll receive an invitation through the PS4 dashboard. There are no guarantees, but it seems like worth the shot. Should you be accepted, you’ll have access to a couple of modes. These include three online multiplayer modes and the Diamond Dynasty.

Looking towards the March release, MLB The Show 20 is making a ton of improvements from the last installment. For example, there are a number of different ways you’ll be able to customize your team and created player. That is always an important aspect of these games. You get to take a player and build them from the ground up. Having more ways to customize their skills and aesthetics should further immerse you in this incredible baseball action.

The dynasty mode also is looking like a standout aspect out of the gate. You’ll get to control so many aspects of your selected team, from the way training sessions are held to the way your bullpen is managed. The developers really want to give their fans the best and most realistic baseball experiences to date.

The series has a lot of momentum right now and it doesn’t seem like it will slow down any time soon. If you’ve been a fan of the series for the longest time, the closed beta is worth signing up for. You could get selected and get to take MLB The Show 20 out for a test-drive before many other PlayStation users.
