The YouTube description gives more information about the title: “A lovable and sensible simulation game to raise a girl who has visited you to make her dreams come true. An upgraded version of the classic simulation game has come back on the Nintendo Switch with many updates! PRINCESS MAKER -FAERY TALES COME TRUE- has newly rearranged with HD graphics, a new interface, new music tracks, and much more.”

The game stars a young fairy who wants to be a human princess. The Fairy Queen grants her wish to be human. It’s up to the player to raise the human fairy (or “daughter”) right so she can grow into a princess. The player isn’t alone. A fairy guardian named Uzu assists the player in scheduling the right classes and reminding them when their daughter needs help.

There are several paths the story can take. Players will have to encourage the young fairy to attend school or work so she can make her dream come true. If the young fairy is raised poorly, she will suffer the consequences.

The daughter is voiced by Yukana Nogami, who has had several roles in anime and video games. Her roles include Meiling Li from Cardcaptor Sakura and Kanna from Inuyasha.

The game is a port of a game from the late 90s that was later released on PC, Sega Saturn, and Dreamcast. The 2019 version has been updated for the Nintendo Switch. The game has HD graphics, a new user interface, improved animations, animated pixel characters, additional music tracks, and more.

The title is already available on Steam, but this is the 2017 release and not the new HD remaster. The 2017 edition was updated to be compatible with Windows 7 and higher OS, along with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The game also has Steam achievements.

Princess Maker: Faery Tales Come True will first be released in Japan on December 19. The North American release comes a few days later on December 23. The game will likely be digital-only, as no physical release has been announced.
