Nintendo’s Dedicated Fans Are Pleading For A Zelda Film

In anticipation of the debut of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Nintendo and Illumination Entertainment have published the first teaser trailer. Viewers will have to wait until April 7, 2023, to see how the total result appears, but it is evident that the teaser has the web buzzing.

Naturally, a lot of fans are curious about which Nintendo title would get adapted next, and a lot of them are keeping their fingers crossed that The Legend of Zelda will get adapted in some form, whether it be animated or real action. The series has been trending on Twitter today as fans have voiced their wishes for a Zelda adaptation, and there are certainly a number of exciting paths it might go in!

Even while a film version of The Legend of Zelda seems like an obvious choice for Hollywood, it’s possible that it will only happen for some time. It is common knowledge that Nintendo is notoriously hesitant when it comes to adapting its IP, and if Mario is successful, there are a number of other contenders that could be next in line. Given that Seth Rogen will be lending his voice to Donkey Kong in The Super Mario Bros.

Movie, it would appear that Donkey Kong Country would be the best option to choose as the location for the new game. Since Fred Armisen was cast to play Cranky Kong in the next DKC film, speculations have been circling for over a year about the possibility of a spin-off feature using the character. It is currently unknown whether Donkey Kong or Link will be the first video game character to be adapted into a live-action film, but maybe, in the not-too-distant future, fans of both series will have something to be happy about.
