While GTA Online isn’t without its share of glitches and anomalies, one player’s screenshot of a burning office and a pile of cash has many gamers scratching their heads. The GTA Online screenshot was circulated between curious players, but no one can agree on the cause.

A few years ago, players who could afford a CEO office or were playing with someone who did so had access to new tasks in GTA Online. But just like apartments, workplaces are intended to be places where firearms and physical violence are not tolerated. That’s why the screenshot looks so strange and raises many questions about how it happened.

A member named Liam Taylor posted a screenshot to the GTA Online subreddit and asked for the community’s interpretation. The main protagonist is depicted in the middle of a CEO’s office, surrounded by stacks of cash. As the player progresses through the game and earns more money, they can spend it on cosmetic items, but it serves no other use.

Players have wondered what started the blaze because they usually can’t use their weapons in these zones. However, since Liamsjtaylor supposedly took the screenshot on an Xbox version of the game a few years ago, players could rule out the chance that it was the work of GTA Online hackers or modders, as console versions of the game experience considerably fewer instances of hacking and modification than the PC version.
Some readers have hypothesized that the issue may have been caused by anything outside. Players are safe from danger in these enclosed arenas because they are not exposed to the elements. Although the building’s defenses block most attacks, there have been instances where players have damaged the building’s interior or even shot other players, but without causing any actual harm.

Liamsjtaylor claims the fire was already going when they entered; if so, someone may have been firing into the office with weaponry similar to the Hydra’s, causing damage despite the players’ status as impervious.
