A trailer was dropped today for Marvel’s Avengers, taking viewers deep into the plot and gameplay. The trailer has given fans the most in-depth preview of what to expect. Gameplay: It was announced in the summertime that Marvel’s Avengers developer, Crystal Dynamics, had brought on God of War combat designer Vince Napoli for the project. Napoli has been hailed as a genius by the company as he has customized the combat mechanics of each Hero to match their comic book equals. Marvel fans will be able to play their beloved Heroes, including Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, and the Hulk. Avengers will utilize a leveling system, along with a skill/talent tree. The higher the level of the Hero, the more skills they will learn. Players can specialize their skills as there are multiple playstyle builds per character. There is a vast amount of gear for each character, each with its own exclusive stats and rarity. Players will collect higher level and more unique gear throughout the progression of the game. An essential part of the gameplay is the perk mechanic. Perks will add modifiers to the current gear a Hero has, allowing new attacks and stat bonuses. Furthermore, there will be fan-pleasing outfits that players can collect. The outfits are purely aesthetic and will reflect the Heroes within the illustrious history of Marvel. Lastly, there will be a Hero and Warzone missions as well Co-op play, and the ladder will have more information revealed in early 2020.
