Of course, the game won't be short on content when it's released on September 13, but the developers will continue to add to things to BL3 throughout the rest of the year and beyond. After Borderlands 3 is released in just under two weeks, the game will receive two free event updates, and on top of that, Gearbox will drop the game's first DLC expansion, and, as previously mentioned, all of these things will be added to the game before the end of the year. The two events, which are being called Bloody Harvest and Maliwan Takedown, will include new content, new activities, new enemies, and exclusive rewards. Also, both of these events will be completely free. Unfortunately, the game's first DLC expansion wasn't detailed by Gearbox, as they only promised to have it out before the end of the year. As previously mentioned, Borderlands 3 will release with a ton of content, as the developers have said that the main story will take around 35 hours to complete. Of course, if you choose to do all of the optional side quests, then the game will take significantly longer to finish. In regards to the length of the game's main story, Borderlands 3 is right on par with the first two games and the Pre-Sequel. But, it'll probably have significantly more post-launch content added to it than all of its predecessors.
