With pre-orders on the horizon, dedicated Disney fans have their hearts set on the Classic Games Aladdin and The Lion King. These games were beloved additions to any fan’s childhood experiences, and they are being remastered for modern consoles. The games come with many exciting features, but it is obvious that Disney and Nighthawk Interactive understand the true collector value in these games.

Alongside the obvious value found in the games, fans are being treated for a true nostalgia rush. Physical boxed editions will be released for the Nintendo Switch along with actual cartridge release for the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo consoles. Not only can you play the remaster, but now you can play it on the original consoles that are no doubt gathering dust in your collection.

The Nintendo Switch release will be sold for around $50 and features both titles in your choice of either Genesis-style or SNES-style box packaging. Both versions include an instruction manual styled for the era and an exclusive poster for you to decorate your home with or add to your collection.

Both games are packed with new features that will make the experience fun for every type of gamer. An in-game rewind feature lets you back up difficult moments and speed through to specific parts of the game you want to see. There are also variable display options that let you decide which era of the game you want to experience.

Full 1080p visuals and a music player full of your favorite tracks from the movies is also available. If you want a look behind the scenes, both games include a museum filled with artwork and trivia so you can learn about the devlopment of the original character from the cartoon. Both games are packaged with the original game and the Final Cut version allowing you to compare both and see what was left out originally.

iam8bit has provided the opportunity for new cartridge releases of both games for 16-bit consoles. The Sega Genesis will be receiving Aladdin, and the SNES will have The Lion King. Both games come in colored plastic and stylized art, allowing for a truly nostalgic experience. If you are lucky, you may receive a glow-in-the-dark variant of the games randomly set into exclusive boxes.

These cartridges will feature fold-embossed boxes and are limited to only 4500 copies. They are available for pre-order exclusively at iam8bit for around $100 each and if you are a lover of old consoles, these a must-have addition to your collection.
