VR has blown up these past couple of years. More and more developers are putting out games to support this immersive technology.

Now, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is going to support a VR mode. It will be compatible with Labo’s VR headsets, which are comprised out of cardboard.

This is certainly an interesting idea that could enhance an already great game. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is one of the best games in this storied franchise. There are so many characters to play as and stages to use as your personal battleground.

This latest VR patch could give fans of the series an interesting and immersive experience with some of their favorite characters.

It should be noted that the VR support will be limited. It will only be available for the single-player mode. You can activate it when playing against the computer. Or, you can watch two CPUs go at it against each other.

Still, this latest VR addition should make for some interesting gameplay at the very least. The update is completely free, and if you already have a Labo VR kit and the game, this update is a no-brainer to install and use.

It will be intriguing to see how the community reacts to this latest update. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild received a similar VR update. Although, fans didn’t take to it as Nintendo had hoped.

It seems like VR is more of a niche sector in gaming, but it does have its die-hards. If you enjoy the latest Super Smash Bros game, you might give the VR mode a try. At the very least, you’ll experience a different view that’s pretty novel.

The Labo VR kits have been pretty successful overall. They’re a great way for Nintendo Switch users to experience their favorite games in a whole new way. More importantly, these kits don’t cost a lot of money given that they’re made entirely out of cardboard.

They also can be customized in so many different ways. This is ideal for parents looking to get their children involved in a creative project, in addition to having fun playing video games.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a great title for Switch users, and it’s great to see it get regular support and new features. Whether VR on the platform will be successful or not remains to be seen. Still, it could be very promising and give way to all sorts of memorable battles.
