Season two for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is officially underway, and each new season brings a ton of updates to the popular first-person shooter. Unfortunately though, sometimes the influx of new updates can also add a few bugs to the game, which ended up being the case following Modern Warfare’s season two update.

After the most recent update, some players experienced a green dot bug in the Modern Warfare menus. If a player receives a new item in MW, the game will let them know by placing a green dot next to whatever their new item is. Naturally, whenever a player hovers over their new item, the green dot disappears, thus signaling that the player has acknowledged their new item.

The latest bug in Modern Warfare is that the green dot that signals new items will no longer disappear after players have hovered over it, thus making it hard for players to differentiate what’s new vs. what’s not.

Over on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Reddit page, someone asked the game’s community if anyone else was having the aforementioned green dot issue, and the post was responded to by Infinity Ward’s art director Joel Emslie, who confirmed that the developers are working to resolve this issue.

“We are pushing to get a ‘clear all current green dots in the menus’ button,” the game’s art director, Joel Emslie, says on Reddit. “Hoping sometime in the near future; stay tuned.”

Infinity Ward’s art director said that the green dots are glitch and that the studio is working hard to resolve the issue. Moreover, Emslie said that IW wants to add a feature that, when used, clears all of the green dot item notifications. The feature would make it so players don’t have to sift through their new content to get rid of the green dots, but instead, they’d be able to get rid of them all with one button.

Unfortunately, Infinity Ward hasn’t given a timetable as to when this issue will be resolved, but given that Modern Warfare receives updates regularly, it’s probably safe to assume that the issue will be resolved within the next few weeks.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, and will likely get four more seasons this year. So, expect to see a ton of content get added to the popular first-person shooter in the coming weeks and months.
