With one final Overwatch 2 launch party for content developers, they are showing off some fantastic new abilities for the new hero Kiriko. The offensive danger created when one content producer combines Kiriko and Zenyatta is breathtaking.

With Kiriko’s ultimate ability, “Kitsune Rush,” allies will gain increased movement speed, firing rate, and reduced ability cooldowns and reload times. However, how that might manifest itself in-game is primarily up to speculation. Nevertheless, the results of the Kitsune Rush, as demonstrated by YouTuber Andrewjrt, are tremendously powerful and hysterically funny.

Andrewjrt was invited to a final pre-launch server for Overwatch 2, where content makers and journalists could scavenge the game one last time before its release. The highlight is the opening sequence in which Kiriko’s Kitsune Rush is used to supercharge Zenyatta and fire off a barrage of orbs; this is followed by a rundown of all the Battle Pass goodies and flashy new hero menu introductions.

The footage, captured by Overwatch Calvary and uploaded on Twitter, provokes strong feelings on both sides of the Overwatch 2 community. Zenyatta’s gamers and their allies are rejoicing over her devastating firepower as two training dummies are vaporized in almost the second by critical strikes from her Orbs of Destruction. Although the monk is one of the heroes with the slowest movement speed and primary fire rate, Soldier: 76 might be worried by the monk’s Kitsune Rush, which grants him a significant offensive boost.

However, if Zenyatta, a weak support hero, has as much offensive power, it stands to reason that genuine DPS Heroes will have enormous firepower. Concerns have been raised that the current implementation of this ultimate ability is way too robust, making Overwatch 2 feel imbalanced and unenjoyable.

In reality, the torii gates and the passageway through them contain all the benefits of the ability. Similar to Baptiste’s Amplification Matrix, but with an additional dimension, time and positioning will be crucial when trying to neutralize the ultimate’s devastating effects.
