Ink and splat your way through a brand new story, levels, and customization possibilities in Splatoon 3. Despite Splatoon 3’s enormous success, some bugs and glitches have frustrated players, especially in Japan.

Version 1.1.2 of Splatoon 3 has been released, and among the many problems it fixes is that players can once again obtain Sea Snails. After finishing a Splatfest, players receive Sea Snails in varying amounts depending on their performance and the outcome of their team’s match.

Sadly, some players couldn’t collect their Sea Snails from the first Splatfest, as this rare and precious money was affected by a problem. Any player who didn’t receive their Sea Snails the first time around should see the Splatfest results announcement again upon login and have Sea Snails automatically added to their inventory.

In addition to addressing these issues, the update is also implementing a change that should lessen the frequency with which players encounter communication difficulties, particularly after finishing a Salmon Run objective or battle. Inconsistencies in player-to-player communication have plagued previous games as well. Thus any efforts to remedy the situation should be welcomed by gamers.

The team has also addressed issues with weaponry and exploits that allowed users to perform unintended actions or exit the game world. Players who are found to have used exploits or to have otherwise violated the Nintendo Rules Explicitly will have their online play privileges revoked, the team warns.

Though Splatoon 3 has been well-received, many players have pointed out that some issues, such as frequent disconnections, continue to plague the game. In addition, several problems surfaced during the inaugural official Splatfest, such as players’ conch shells not counting towards their team’s efforts if they picked up their Splatfest shirt after obtaining their first conch shell and tricolor battles being extremely rare.
