LCS came back for Week 8 with an online format.

While some teams failed to adapt, most of them adapted to the online environment quite well.

Team Solo Mid vs Golden Guardians

Aatrox / Sejuani / Syndra / Aphelios / Thresh vs Kennen / Jarvan / Rumble / Varus / Nautilus

Team Solo Mid delivered a very clean game against Golden Guardians. Broken Blade went to town in the top lane on Aatrox, he managed to stomp the Kennen and then snowballed other lanes by teleporting for flanks and diving enemy champions under their tower.

Cloud 9 vs 100 Thieves

Kalista / Gragas / Yasuo / Syndra / Thresh vs Ornn / Trundle / Syndra / Aphelios / Tahm

Cloud 9 copied the LPL Invictus Gaming’s TheShy top Kalista tactic. 100 Thieves delivered an outstanding performance regardless of the fact that they were facing the best team in LCS. They will have a shot in Week 9 for the second place with this outstanding performance. Cloud 9 looks like the easiest choice for the LCS championship this split with their perfect display of skill

Team Liquid vs Evil Geniuses

Mordekaiser / Trundle / Cassiopeia / Varus / Braum vs Aatrox / Lee sin / Le’Blanc / Ashe / Tahm Kench

Team Liquid is the worst team in LCS this split. Even though they’re not sitting at the last place their gameplay shows a complete lack of understanding of the game. It’s quite hard to grasp what happened during the off-season that they turned so poor after it. The 4x LCS championship winner in a row seem to lack any idea on how to play the game. EG on the other way played really well and look like a contender for top 3.

Dignitas vs Counter Logic Gaming

Fiora / Pantheon / Rumble / Kai’sa / Thresh vs Irelia / Karthus / Ornn / Miss Fortune / Nautilus

CLG is making a good case for being the worst team tied with Liquid this split, they play poorly, don’t focus on objectives and overall seem to lack any game sense. Dignitas is looking quite good, but their first losses might affect their chances to get into the playoffs. Next week will be decisive for them.

Flyquest vs Immortals

Sett / Gragas / Viktor / Xayah / Rakan vs Aatrox / Trundle / Cassiopeia / Miss Fortune / Morgana

FlyQuest perform really well, their off season acquisition of PowerofEvil comes to fruition. They look like a good contender for the top spot alongside Evil Geniuses and 100 Thieves near Cloud 9. Their branding has also improved a lot and plays well into their gameplay with more fans supporting this team.

That is all for  Week 8, Day 1 coverage of LCS 2020, stay tuned for more in the upcoming days.
