Terminator: Resistance was previously announced earlier this year. Gamers looked forward to stepping into the world of Terminator in the new single-player story-driven game.

The release of the newest film, Terminator: Dark Fate, is currently out but is not directly related to the film. The latest game is sure to game fans of the franchise happy.

From the official website: “Terminator: Resistance is an officially licensed, first-person shooter set during the ‘Future War’ scenario that was only glimpsed at in the iconic films from James Cameron, THE TERMINATOR and T2: JUDGMENT DAY.”

The story takes place almost 30 years after Judgement Day in the ruins of post-apocalyptic Los Angeles. Gamers will take control of Private Jacob Rivers, a soldier part of John Connor’s Resistance.

The game goes into detail about the events leading up to the final battle against the machines. Players can either jump into action or use Rivers as a hacker. Either way, there will be plenty of character options to explore.

The publisher of Terminator: Resistance, Reef Games, recently published two new trailers in 4K.

The “Opening Gameplay” trailer is ten minutes long and shows off the start of the game. The “Combat Gameplay” trailer is much shorter, around 90 seconds, but highlights some of the action gamers will get to experience.

The first is a combat gameplay trailer that shows off the first-person action. From the trailer, gamers get to see what kind of weapons they’ll be using. There are plenty to choose from, including laser rifles and pre-war weapons like shotguns.

The trailers also show off different game mechanics to come. Crafting is part of the game, along with dialogue choices that may affect the story in significant ways.

While all of the new footage is exciting, their release comes with some bad news for gamers in North America.

The worldwide console release was announced for November 15th, but North American gamers will have to wait a bit longer. The console version game has been delayed until December 10th, with the PC release scheduled for release on December 15th. There was no explanation of why the release dates were pushed back in only North America.

Players in Europe and Australia still have the initial release date of November 15th.

Terminator: Resistance will be released worldwide on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
