From that point on, the champion became a priority pick across the globe. But what makes Kalista such a strong champion is her ability to flex. She can be played in the top and bot lane as an effective substitute for Aphelios and Miss Fortune. She isn’t the best team fighting champion, but in the laning phase and when it comes down to pushing for objectives, she’s a top-tier pick. In solo queue, it’s a different story. In Platinum and above, Kalista has just a 48-percent win ratio, one of the lowest in the ADC position. It’s unclear if Riot will step in and nerf Kalista harsher to keep her out of the meta. The latest nerfs should do the trick and keep her from being a pick/ban champion, but this will not fix the issues which her endless stacking damage on E and her ultimate which allows supports to easily escape if they're caught. The best way to nerf Kalista would be to fix her E damage or rework her ultimate so that she has clear weaknesses and people don't insta pick her. Going into the Summer Split, Kalista will most likely drop in priority as mages pick up steam after latest experience changes in the bottom lane.
