Five Nights at Freddy’s took the internet by storm when it released a creepy camera watching game in an animatronic filled pizzeria. The game was released for PC and Mobile with a cast of colorful characters that are harmless during the day, and murderous during the night. Now it seems that the game is making another leap into the Nintendo Switch, bringing its creepy horror to a whole new audience.

The first three installments are being added to the Nintendo Switch come November 29. It has been known that the indie phenomenon would be making its way to the Switch eventually, but until now, fans did not have a release date. Fortunately for fans, the game will be making its way to the Switch in no time at all.

The series has managed to produce six entries in just two years of devlopment. It has also inspired three spin-off games and two book adaptations deepening the world of Freddy Fazbear’s pizzeria.

Even now, the game is making great strides as an augmented reality game titled Five Nights at Freddy’s AR: Special Delivery was announced in September. This and the recently released Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted has brought countless people flocking to this growing franchise.

T-Shirts, plushies, notebooks, pencils, and even costumes have been created out of inspiration from this indie production. It is hard to go to any pop culture store and not see any of these products. You are bound to see foxy in the corner or the creepy top hat-wearing Freddy sitting on a shelf.

The game was originally released back in 2014. It put you in the place of a security guard working the night shift at a Freddy Fazbear’s pizzeria. You are not given many instructions other then the animatronics tend to “wander.” Quickly this evolves into a horror game as they approach the door in search of your flesh.

This turns into a game of watching the clock as you interact with a point-and-click interface. You must manage your power carefully to make it through the night until 6 am where you are off shift. If you are not careful, the animatronics will get you and shock you with a jumpscare effect that has become almost infamous.

There is five animatronics that makes up the core of the series. A bear, bunny, chicken, fox, and the legendary Golden Freddy all come to present you with a game over. Even more, characters are added in the second, and in the third, it becomes even harder to keep up with everything going on.

The first three games will be available on the Switch eShop on November 29 for $8 each. So it is time to try and see if you can survive Five Nights at Freddy’s.
