Naughty Dog recently celebrated The Last of Us Day on September 26. The developer announced several new upcoming items, including some digital bonuses.

The Last of Us Day, which was tentatively called “Outbreak Day,” but changed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, was a celebration of all things related to the popular series.

Some of the first few announcements were for scale figures. The developer is teaming up with Mamegyorai Amazing Works for a limited-edition Joel and Ellie 1/9 scale figure of their appearances from the first game. The figure is currently available until supplies run out.

Gaming Heads has announced two Ellie statues from her appearance in the second game. In one statue, she is holding a bow and arrow, while in the other, she is wielding a machete. A board game based on the game is also currently in development.

PlayStation owners can pick up a free beach theme based on the second game. The theme is currently available at no cost on the PlayStation Store. Thre was also a sale on the remastered version of the game, Left Behind DLC, and other bundles on the store.

For the first time, Naughty Dog released its official cosplay guide for Abby. The guide contains high-resolution images of Abby for anyone planning on cosplaying her in the future. The guide is available as a digital download on The Last of Us website.

In the month of October, Naughty Dog is hosting a “Photo Mode Contest” for 2020. The full details are available on the company’s website. The winners will have their entry posted on Naughty dog‘s social media accounts, along with The Last of Us Part II Ellie Edition.

Yoji Shinkawa, known for his work on the Metal Gear series, also provided artwork to celebrate the new event. The artist created an illustration of Joel, Ellie, and Abby in collaboration with Kojima Productions.

The artwork is displayed with low saturation, with only a hint of color on the figures. The artwork is a must-have for fans of both The Last of Us and the Metal Gear series.

The wallpaper is available now from The Last of Us website. The digital download is 4K for PC or as a mobile wallpaper. The artwork is available for free.

It’s unknown how long the free bonus items will be available. Fans of The Last of Us series should download the goodies now while it’s available.
