Forever Entertainment and Megapixel Studio have announced the PC release date for Panzer Dragoon: Remake. The game is a new and remade version of Panzer Dragoon. The title was developed to stay true to the original 1995 release, but with optimized controls and improved graphics.

The game was previously released on the Nintendo Switch in March. PC players will now have the opportunity to experience the game on two different digital game platforms later this month. Unfortunately, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release dates have yet to be announced.

Panzer Dragoon: Remake takes place on a faraway planet. Two ancient dragons have awakened. Players are armed with an ancient firearm and their trusty armored blue dragon. Together, players must fulfill their destiny to keep the Prototype Dragon from reaching the Tower.

The game is a single-player title. It supported Japanese, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, and Chinese at launch and was a digital download of 8.2 GB.

Panzer Dragoon: Remake contains seven realistic levels. The environments range from tropical blue oceans to subterranean ruins. The graphics have been improved to give players a realistic experience compared to the original Sega Saturn game.

Before players can fight the Prototype Dragon, there are plenty of enemies waiting to attack. Enemies include evil giant dragonflies, frightening man-sized wasps, giant sandworms, and lethal flying battleships.

Players can attack enemies from all sides without any delays. The 360-controls have been improved with a lock-on targeting system.

The store pages for Panzer Dragoon: Remake on Steam and GOG are available now. Players interested in following the release or seeking notifications about the game’s release can wishlist the game now.

Panzer Dragoon first debuted on the Sega Saturn in 1995. The series has since released several sequels and spin-offs, but many were hoping an updated version of the original game. It has been 25 years since the first game was released, but now fans can experience the remake on modern platforms.

The sequel to Panzer Dragoon, Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake, is also currently in development from Forever Entertainment. The announcement of both games was made in 2018, but soon more players will have the opportunity to enjoy the first title’s remake.

Panzer Dragoon: Remake launches on PC via Steam and GOG on September 25.
