Sega has announced several new Sonic the Hedgehog-themed items were coming soon as part of the character's upcoming 30th anniversary. The merchandise will start rolling out at the end of this year and into next year. \n \nFans are still waiting for new games starring the blue hedgehog to be released. Thankfully, there will be plenty of physical merchandise to decorate homes and entertain them. \n \nOne of the first announcements was for the Sonic Encyclo-Speed-Ia. The book was made in collaboration with Dark Horse Comics and Sega. The encyclopedia is a full history of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise with 30 years of information. The book itself will be in hardcover and full-color and is scheduled to launch in June 2021. \n \nComic publisher IDW Publishing has announced a new comic mini-series. The publisher has announced plans to release their first Classic Sonic special with a new mini-series. The company also has plans to continue the current Sonic the Hedgehog ongoing comic in both English and Spanish languages. \n \n \n \nSega also announced plans for clothing and accessories. King Ice is launching an official jewelry collection that combines 3D design and hand-set stones. The collection will bring Sonic to life with hip-hop inspirations. FiGPiN Inc. has announced a line of collectible enamel pins of some of the most iconic Sonic franchise characters. \n \nGraph Gaming will launch its Sonic-themed collection in SPring 2021. The collection will contain exclusive apparel and accessories. More information will be released closer to the collection's launch. \n \nMore Sonic-themed toys are also on the horizon. Sega and Funko have announced a collaboration for a new collection of Pop! Vinyl Figures featuring Classic Sonic, Tails, Silver, and many more. \n \nG Fuel and Sega are partnering up to bring the Peach Rings to life in as an "energizing, high-performance, sugar-free peach-infused Energy Drink." The drink will debut in a special 30th anniversary collector's box next year. \n \nIvo Gerscovich, Chief Brand Officer, Sonic the Hedgehog and SVP Sega of America, stated in a press release: \nOver the past 30 years spanning multiple generations, Sonic fans have created memories with their speedy Blue Blur.
