Playism has announced its upcoming run-and-gun shooter Mighty Goose. The game is currently in development and plans to launch sometime next year on PC and consoles. The Steam store page is available now for those who want to wishlist the game. \n \nIn Mighty Goose, players control a goose whose sole purpose is to travel through the galaxy and hunt down evil. The “absolute unit” goose is one of the galaxy’s most credited bounty hunters. The graphics show the simplistic goose with a smile but with powerful, mechanic accessories attacked to its feathered body. \n \nThe story brings Mighty Goose on a new mission to take down the evil Void King. The King has been conquering galaxies with his vast army of minions and mechanized monsters. The goose has to chase down the king through a variety of galaxies until the mission is complete. \n \nMighty Goose is a 2D side-scroller with run-and-gun action. Players will have to put their skill, timing, and reflexes to the test. The game has arcade-style action with several crazy weapons to discover, plus war machines, goose upgrades, and other secrets to uncover. \n \nhttps:\/\/youtu.be\/bQBB1Sc1zSU \n \nThe goose has a customizable playstyle with a variety of upgrade chips, secondary weapons, and assist characters. One of the assist characters includes a duck, pink bunnies, and a goggle-wearing pig. \n \nA short teaser trailer and animated gifs on the Steam listing showcases some of the intense action and the unique graphics. The game is primarily in 2D but has many unique images of the goose wearing giant red robot arms and shooting through enemies to collect coins. \n \nDuring its journey, the goose will face many enemies across levels, but also bosses. The giant bosses fill the entire screen and will be difficult to defeat. Learning how to dodge their attacks and timing defensive strategies will be vital to survival. \n \nThe soundtrack was composed by Dominic Ninmark, who previously worked on Moonrider, Blazing Chrome, Gravity Circuit, and more. Players can expect a mix of “crunchy synth-rock and funky jazz-fusion melodies,” according to the Steam listing. \n \nThe title continues to be in development, so more information is slowly being released. Those who want to follow the game’s development can add the game to their wishlists now or follow Playism on social media. \n \nMighty Goose is scheduled to launch on PC and consoles in 2021.
