Since Minecraft’s popularity has been rising considerably during this pandemic, Mojang Studios has continuously been updating Minecraft, which has further increased its popularity and led to Nintendo making Minecraft the next DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate!

Minecraft mobs and the player will be joining Mario and Link on the battlefield; this newest DLC will see the mobs of both the Zombie and the Enderman be playable characters that can attack more than just the standard Minecraft Steve or Alex but also the likes of Mario and Zelda.

To showcase these new fighters, Nintendo released a video to its official YouTube channel, which showcases not only the characters but also some of the attacks that steve will be able to use!

Some of these attacks include using his sword to swipe against his enemies, while standing, this attack seems to be Steve’s normal attack. Steve can also utilize his handy Lava Bucket to burn enemies and keep them away from him for a moment or two.

If Steve happens to be jumping and attacking, he’ll be using his pickaxe to attack instead of his sword; this arc is clearly visible and makes this attack easy to doge but also easy to use when compared.

Steve has his signature abilities, which have caused Minecraft popularity, being able to both Mine and Craft as well as build structures!

Steve can use his pickaxe to mine resources from the ground to create better swords, and after placing the crafting block, players will see a status bar showing how long it’ll take to create the new sword.

Steve can build a structure to trap an enemy, but the blocks seemingly break over time, making the speed builders possibly the strongest Steve players in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Some other characters include Alex, the classic Minecraft Zombie, and the Enderman. Alex is thankfully not a reskin of Steve but instead features her own moves and quirks to her character! She even has an Electra, which allows her to fly around the stage with ease!

This DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate also adds more than just playable characters; this DLC adds some new stages, which seemingly range from a village to a stage having different biomes.
