During the EVO Fighting Game Premiere Tournament, Arc System Works announced a general timeline of what fans might anticipate through 2022 and 2023.

No particular date has been specified, but the second Guilty Gear Strive Season Pass will start with the inclusion of a new character in the summer of 2022.

The game’s PS5 and PC versions will receive updates at the same time. While the Steam version will get an update that would shorten connection times for first server connections, the PS5 version of the game will get one that will lessen input lag for players.

In the fall of 2022, Guilty Gear Strive will also receive some significant updates, and another DLC character will be released during this time.

Arc System Works will also hold a global cross-play beta test for all of the game’s versions. This beta is slated to begin around the middle of September, and more details on how to participate in these sessions will be released later. The same season should see the release of Crossplay.

Although nothing particular has been mentioned, the winter season will include a significant improvement to the game’s combat balance.

The final two characters in the second Guilty Gear Strive Season Pass will be made available in 2023 because there will only be four in total.

It appears that Arc System Works will not slow the development of Guilty Gear Strive. The fighting game just celebrated its one anniversary of release, and it appears to be doing well.

This weekend at Evo, it outperformed other mainstays like Street Fighter and Tekken in terms of registration numbers.

Guilty Gear Strive appears to have even more promising days ahead with more material on the way. Hopefully, before the weekend is out, we will learn more about this enigmatic summer figure.
