Sucker Punch Productions has announced the release date for Ghost of Tsushima‘s first raid event, called the Tale of Oyo, which will be added to the Legends multiplayer expansion on October 30.

On Thursday, Sucker Punch revealed the release date of the upcoming raid in a blog post, and unlike with the co-op missions, players won’t be able to rely on matchmaking, as the Tale of Oyo will require pre-made teams of four, so you’ll need three additional friends to participate.

Below is Sucker Punch’s official description for the upcoming raid event.

“The Tale of Iyo will not support matchmaking, so you’ll need to arrange your team ahead of time and be ready to jump in together. You’ll want to have your gear at KI level 100 as an absolute minimum before you attempt to take on this challenge.

“To get Raid ready, we recommend finishing all Story missions, and replaying Story and Survival on higher difficulties to get higher level gear.”

In addition to announcing the release date for the upcoming raid, Sucker Punch also said that they’re rolling out a new patch today to fix the following issues.

  • Resolved a bug causing frequent Network Error pop-ups
  • Resolved a bug preventing the Platinum Trophy armor dye from appearing in New Game+
  • Resolved a bug that caused some users to become stuck in the Legends tutorial
  • Added support for PlayStation™ Network “Players Met” functionality to Legends
  • Various bug and crash fixes

Starting on Friday morning, new weekly challenges will be added to Ghost of Tsushima: Legends for its two-player co-op missions and its four-player survival mode. Also, teams with the highest scores will be featured on the game’s leaderboards, one for story missions and the other for survival missions.

The weekly challenge missions will be set on nightmare difficulty, and according to the developers, they’ll really put your team to the test, as they’ll be extremely difficult. If you and your teammates are able to complete these quests, along with their side objectives, then you’ll be rewarded with max level gear that will help you in the aforementioned raid event.

Despite its wealth of additional content, Ghost of Tsushima’s Legends expansion is completely free, but it does require an active PlayStation Plus subscription.

In addition to adding multiplayer content, Ghost of Tsushima’s latest update also added new content to the game’s single-player campaign, including the long-requested new game plus option, which will allow you to restart Jin’s journey with all of your gear and skills in-tact.
