On the Japanese Nintendo schedule, a listing for Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition appeared by surprise. This version was never announced by the developer or the publisher, Deep Silver. The Japanese version of the game was published by DMM Games.

The release date was listed as February 18, which would be five days after it was initially launched in 2018. Fans wondered if this was a surprise for the new year.

Unfortunately, the listing was a mistake. Warhorse Studios’ PR Manager Tobi Stolz-Zwilling confirmed the listing was a mistake. The company looked into the matter and had the listing removed. The PR Manager stated that he, personally, would love to see Kingdom Come: Deliverance on the Switch, but there were no plans to port it at the moment.

The Kingdom Come: DeliveranceRoyal Edition Nintendo Switch port was only listed on the Japanese Nintendo schedule and nowhere else. The game will soon launch in Japan on February 18 for the PlayStation 4. This release date is confirmed through DMM Games.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance tells the story of Henry, the son of a blacksmith, living in the Kingdom of Bohemia. The developer aspired to create a historically accurate game with none of the fantasy elements seen on other RPGs taking place during medieval times.

The Royal Edition is the full version of the game. It contains the base game along with all of the DLC, including Treasures of the Past, From the Ashes, The Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon, Band of Bastards, and A Woman’s Lot.

Warhorse Studios later released an official set of modding tools so players could create custom content for the game. So far, many players have created custom weapons, costumes, and more to continue Henry’s adventures.

Contrary to what was listed on the official Nintendo website in Japan, there are no plans to release Kingdom Come: Deliverance on the Nintendo Switch at this time. The only confirmed Japanese releases for the game are the DMM Game of the Year and Royal Edition for the PlayStation 4.
