The scale of the Winters expansion for Resident Evil Village is now known. Players can now anticipate the download size of the Resident Evil 8 DLC and make necessary preparations if they surpass their storage limit while playing the game.

Fans have hoped Ethan Winters will return after seeing the ending cutscene in Resident Evil 8. However, since the DLC starts up directly where the ending of Resident Evil 8 leaves off, fans may get their answers when it launches on October 28, along with a sense of where the franchise may be headed next.

Numerous speculations have been made about what happened to Ethan Winters, but the wait may be slightly longer. There have been reports that the PS5 version of Resident Evil 8’s DLC is 6.997 GB in size, and PlayStation Game Size has revealed this information on Twitter. It is expected that this file size holds across all supported platforms. Although the linear design of Resident Evil allows for a lot of content to be crammed into about 7 GB, some response suggests worry over the size not representing the amount of substance that fans were looking for.

From what we’ve seen, the Resident Evil 8 downloadable content (DLC) is jam-packed with features, such as the Shadow of Rose story expansion and a brand-new third-person mode reminiscent of the one found in the Resident Evil 2 remake.

The return of Ethan Winter’s daughter to the village with new abilities in Shadow of Rose promises to breathe new life into the gameplay while potentially setting up what players may look forward to in Resident Evil 9. For those who prefer the original Resident Evil games’ third-person perspective, the game offers that option.

Now that gamers can choose between third and first person, the audience that was split when Capcom abandoned the third-person perspective in Resident Evil 7 might come together again.
