Modus Games has announced the official release date for its upcoming giant robot brawler Override 2: Super Mech League. The game will launch on PC and consoles at the end of the year. A new 15-minute gameplay video followed the announcement. \n \nOverride 2: Super Mech League takes place seven years after the eradication of the Xenotypes that threatened Earth. The mechs that once acted as the planet’s defenders are now a source of entertainment. \n \nPlayers take on the role of a new pilot of a repurposed super mech who must climb the ranks and represent their Club. The game offers a roster filled with around 20 playable old and new mechs, which each have a unique set of skills, abilities, and super-charged attacks. \n \nThe game is available in single-player and multiplayer campaign modes. The combat system is more accessible to perform speedy attacks, fluid movement, and other combos. \n \nThe Career Mode puts players in the pilot seat as a brand new pilot. They can earn reputation points by competing in arenas across the world. With their Club members, players can earn influence and additional rewards. \n \nThe levels include locations worldwide with environmental dangers. Players will have to survive against opponents, but also against geysers, lava pools, and more. Strategy is essential to survival. \n \nIn the garage, players can customize their mechs to make them stand out in battle.
