For players on Destiny 2, loot is everything. From cosmetic rewards to new weapons and armor, loot is the main drive (besides power levels) for continuing gameplay. Sometimes these rewards can be earned without any kind of effort, so players need to take note of these special events.

On November 25th, the Bungie website announced they are officially continuing to team up with Amazon Prime and offer limited-time cosmetic rewards for players that link their Bungie and Amazon Prime account.

While these rewards are limited-time, they are not exclusive. The way it works is that after you link your accounts together, each month you will receive a reward drop in the form of a bundle. According to the announcement,
“Each drop will contain four rewards, including Exotic weapons, Ghost Shells, ships, Sparrows, and weapon ornaments from previous Seasons.”

At the beginning of each new Season within the game, these rewards will also include a special Seasonal theme item. For example, the current Season of the Hunt seasonal themed event item is the Unchained Exotic Emote.

As such, none of these rewards are actually exclusive to this deal, and can all be found via other methods of gameplay. This prevents accusations of a pay-to-win monetization structure within Destiny 2, which is something the community has been passionate about preventing.

These rewards are doled out monthly over the course of a full-year. This ensures that in order to receive the full gauntlet of rewards, you have to stay subscribed for a full year’s time.

Now on to how you can claim these rewards. On the Bungie news announcement, there are instructions for both how to link your accounts, and where to go to claim the rewards once that is complete. In-game, players will have to visit everyone’s favorite shipwright Amanda Holliday to pick up these item bundles.

Since most of the rewards arent actually exclusive and other avenues exist to obtain them, I wouldn’t exactly recommend rushing out to purchase an amazon prime subscription if you don’t already have one. You can use the free-trial system in order to obtain the first month’s bundle, and cancel if the loot doesn’t seem worth it.

If you already have a subscription, however, you really don’t lose anything by linking your accounts. It’s an effortless way to earn just a bit more rewards within Destiny 2. As you play through, be sure to check back here for all the latest Destiny 2 news and updates.
