Aksys Games has announced the release window for the upcoming game Code: Realize Wintertide Miracles along with two physical editions. The game will launch on the Nintendo Switch both digitally and physically, giving players more options on how they want to play.
Code: Realize Wintertide Miracles is a visual novel initially released in February 2019 on the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita. The game is the third chapter in the visual novel series. The third installment follows the adventures of Cardia Beckford, known for her “poison skin,” and her adventures with handsome figures from Western literature.
The game takes place in Winter when the streets of London are covered in snow. Cardia is on the search for her father with one of two romanceable bachelors. While traveling, various events occur between the couple, which brings them closer together.
While players can enjoy the game as a standalone experience, playing the other two games, Future Blessings and Guardian of Rebirth, is highly recommended. Wintertide Miracles is more of a side story with only two characters, and much of their background is only in the first two games.
Code: Realize ~Wintertide Miracles~ is coming to @NintendoSwitch in early 2021 with Limited & Standard Editions. LE includes: set of 5 – 1.5” buttons with new holiday chibi artwork and a 3” acrylic keychain of Cardia in winter costume.

Aksys Games currently has two physical editions available through its website. The first physical edition is the Standard game with the case and cartridge.
The Limited Edition has the base game, a 3″ acrylic keychain of Cardia in her Winter costume, plus five 1.5″ metal buttons featuring cute versions of Lupin, Van, Fran, Impey, and Saint. Longtime fans of the series shouldn’t miss out on owning official merchandise of characters for the game.
The Limited Edition also comes in a limited edition box featuring different artwork from what is on the Nintendo Switch case.
The title is a visual novel, so the content is mostly story-driven with no active gameplay. Players read different stories and choose various decisions from prompts on the screen. Depending on the player’s decisions, the story will branch in different ways.
If players click too fast, they can re-read the content later. For those new to the series, the game includes a Glossary with terms and character summaries to catch up.
The other two games in the Code Realize series, Future Blessings and Guardian of Rebirth, are currently available on the Nintendo Switch eShop. There’s still time to play the games before diving into the third installment this Winter.
