CD Projekt Red's last major release came back in 2015 with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and while it was widely considered to be one of the best open-world RPGs ever, one of the few complaints about it had to do with the campaign length, as the game's third installment took players somewhere between 70 and 100 hours to complete, which forced some players to just give up before completing it. \n \nLike The Withcer 3, Cyberpunk 2077 will be an open-world game, but it won't require players to spend around 100 hours to complete. \n \nFollowing the latest Night City Wire stream, CD Projekt Red's senior quest designer Patrick K. Mills revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 will be slightly shorter than The Witcher 3 because a "tremendous" amount of people gave up on their previous release before completing it. \n"The difference between a completionist run and a main story run – we do know that the main story run in Cyberpunk 2077 is slightly shorter than The Witcher 3 because we got a lot of complaints about Witcher 3’s main story just being too long. Looking at the metrics, you see tremendous numbers of people played through that game really far, but never made it to the end. We want you to see the full story, so we did shorten the main story, but we have lots to do, and in terms of a completionist campaign, I just don’t have that number." \nOf course, we don't know how long Cyberpunk 2077 will be until it gets released, but CD Proejkt Red has said that players will be able to complete the game without finishing all of its main quests. \n \nhttps:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=c_urbl-2gV4 \n \nEven though the game's main campaign will be shorter than The Witcher 3's, the game's file size, at least on PC, will be larger than CD Projekt Red's previous release, as they revealed the system requirements during their latest Night City Wire stream, and you can check them out below. \n \n \tOS: Windows 7 or 10, 64-bit \n \tProcessor: Intel Core i5-3570K or AMD FX-8310 \n \tMemory: 8GB RAM \n \tGraphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 3GB or AMD Radeon RX 470 \n \tDirectX: Version 12 \n \tStorage: 70 GB HDD, SSD recommended \n \nThe Poland-based developers haven't revealed the storage requirements for consoles, but it's probably safe to assume that they'll be roughly the same as on PC. \n \nCyberpunk 2077 is currently scheduled to be released for current-gen consoles -- PlayStation 4 and Xbox One -- and PC in November, with the game's PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions coming sometime next year.
