Mortal Kombat 11 has been one of the most successful fighting games in recent memory. It’s arguably the best in the series, in fact. NetherRealm Studios did a phenomenal job with the fight mechanics. The story is also gripping. The big-bad, Kronika, is compelling and is easy to root against.

It has been almost two months since the game first debuted in April. Many have wondered when a DLC pack would come out featuring new characters. That wait is just about over, as NetherRealm Studios put out a trailer recently featuring this all-important update.

First on the list of new characters is the iconic Shang Tsung. He’s been a staple for the Mortal Kombat games and movies, so it’s only right that he would make the cut. From the trailer, he has some amazing moves and abilities.

He has the ability to transform into all of the ninjas, including Sub Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, Ermac, and Smoke. NetherRealm Studios did an amazing job at adding these characters into one. It gives fans the chance to see glimpses of some of their favorite characters that otherwise wouldn’t have been possible.

In addition to Shang Tsung, the DLC trailer highlighted some other noteworthy characters. One that’s receiving a lot of buzz is Spawn. This is an amazing addition. Spawn is such an iconic comic book character, known for his magical red cape and amazing transformative powers.

It has been quite some time since he’s made an appearance in a video game. The last noteworthy title was SoulCalibur. He was a great addition to this game as well, only his cape wasn’t included.

Hopefully, it will be this time. It’s such an instrumental part of his character both in terms of offense and defensive tactics.

Another character that will be available in this DLC pack is Sindel. She’s one of the better bad guys in this franchise, who has a rich history of going against her daughter Kitana. Her hair-based attacks have been spectacular to use in every game she’s appeared in.

The last character reveal is Nightwolf. He’s a huge part of Earthrealm’s defense, so it’s only right that he would make a comeback in some fashion. We don’t have much details as far as what these three characters will look like, but it’s safe to assume they’ll look great.

This DLC pack will be available on June 18 for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. That’s just a couple of weeks away. All in all, these new characters are great to see. They should get fans hyped even more for an already incredible fighting game.
