When you think of life simulators, The Sims immediately comes to mind. This series has been so instrumental for gamers looking to replicate real life in a video game. The games are pretty in-depth and provide so much content. You could honestly spend months exploring their ends and outs, with a lot of satisfaction at that.

One of the more popular installments in the series was The Sims 4. Developed by Maxis and The Sims Studio, this title is so full of detail and fun content. Fans will be happy to know that the base game is now currently free through May 28 on the Origin store. This is an incredible deal that shouldn't be passed up.

Like most of these games, you start out by creating a character. There are so many options to customize them with. Once you assign personality traits to your character, they'll be susceptible to various tendencies out in the world. This system just adds to your immersive experience, letting you connect with your character on a deeper level.

The world isn't as big as it was in The Sims 3, but this latest installment still gives you plenty to do and explore. To really maximize the emotions of your created character, you need to get out and socialize. There are plenty of areas to do this too, including bars, restaurants, neighborhoods, libraries, gyms, and parks. There are so many opportunities to communicate with other sims, where you can make long-lasting connections.

It's fun seeing your character fall in love and eventually get married. You feel like a proud parent. There also is an in-depth build mode, which lets you do all sorts of things to your home. For example, you can customize countertops with different finishes.

Overall, the developers put a lot of hard work into this life simulator. It shows the moment you pick up the controls. If you're a fan of this series or even if you're not, The Sims 4 is a great title to put in your collection. It delivers hours of fun, where you can interact with different characters and simulate an amazing life in a video game. The world is your oyster.
