Omega Force and Koei Tecmo's Dynasty Warriors 9 is the latest installment in the long-running Dynasty Warriors series. The game was initially released in February 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. \n \nAs with most games, there was a base game along with several DLCs. Some DLC included story content while others ranged from costumes, animal companions, and weapons. \n \n \n \nAccording to the official Steam page: "Experience the thrill of one versus thousands in an all-new open-world setting with DYNASTY WARRIORS 9! Travel through Ancient China depicted on a single, vast, open-world map, master the new State Combo System, and watch the Three Kingdoms story unfold through a cast of 90 playable characters!" \n \nKoei Tecmo has announced they were releasing a Complete Edition that combines the base game and DLC content. \n \nThere are three versions of the special versions of the game. \n \nDW9 Complete Edition includes the base game, plus Season Passes 1-3 and the Special Costumes set. \n \nDW9 Special Weapon Edition includes the base game, plus 15 Additional Weapons and Hideaway Customization DLCs. \n \nDW9 Special Scenario Edition includes the base game, twelve Additional Scenarios, and Hideaway Customization DLCs. \n \nFor those that already own the base game, Koei Tecmo is now selling the DLC at a lower price. The Additional Weapons set includes 15 extra weapons, and the Additional Costumes include 41 extra outfits. \n \nThe Additional Scenarios DLC has four playable NPC officers: Xiahouji, Dong Bai, Hua Xiong, and Yuan Shu plus eight hypothetical scenarios for Guo Jia, Zhou Yu, Xu Shu, Chen Gong, Cao Pi, Lu Su, Fa Zheng, and Zhong Hui. Each officer in the hypothetical scenarios also includes one additional costume. \n \nThere's one additional All Season Passes DLC that includes the Additional Weapons, Scenarios, Costumes, Hideaway Customization, and Season Pass bonus content. \n \nAll of the content will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. \n \nDynasty Warriors 9 received mixed reviews upon release. It featured an open-world map and a cast of over 90 characters, which is pale in comparison to the Warriors Orochi series, but still a high number for gamers to handle. \n \nFor those that are unsure if they'll enjoy the new title, Koei Tecmo has released a free Dynasty Warriors 9 "Trial" version. Players can try out story mode using any officer along with playing co-op online.
