The mobile game is part of the game's 35th anniversary. \n \nSadly, that's almost all of the information currently known. Koei Tecmo isn't releasing any more content about the new game until January 2020. \n \nSo far, Koei Tecmo has only revealed the official website and Twitter account. There's no information on how the mobile title will tie-in with the main series. \n \nThe Romance of the Three Kingdoms series has players control three groups: Shu, Wei, or Wu. All of the kingdoms are working to control China. The newest game will have over 1,000 officers, making it the biggest roster in the series. There have also been collaborations announced in Japan, such as one with the Legends of the Galaxy Heroes. \n \nKoei Tecmo continues to release new information before the game's release, including gameplay and developer diaries and interviews. \n \nThis isn't the first game Koei Tecmo has released based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms saga. Koei previously worked with Nexon to release Dynasty Warriors: Unleashed, which is based on the musou-action series developed by Omega Force. \n \nAccording to the Android game listing: "Dynasty Warriors is the legendary ultimate high adrenaline battle experience in Action Combat games. Celebrate the return of your favorite heroic characters, massive battles overflowing with onslaughts of relentless enemies wrapped in a timeless epic saga to unite the three kingdoms. Your elite warriors and cunning strategies are forces to be reckoned with. Promote your generals, build your armies and, battle to the death as you strive to fulfill the vision of your ancestors." \n \nThere are over 50 characters to choose from, and all officers have unique skills. There is also online play, and guilds players can join. \n \nDynasty Warriors: Unleashed was released in 2017 and continues to have an active player base today. The game is free-to-play. Unfortunately, the game has a large number of in-game purchases. Hopefully, the newest title won't have as many microtransactions. \n \nThe 35th Anniversary Romance of the Three Kingdoms game is planned for release on iOS and Android devices.
