Aloy, the once-ostracized Nora now hailed as a hero, is a popular figure for cosplayers to emulate. Some players dress up like Aloy when they boot up Horizon: Forbidden West, while others put a Bokoblin’s head on Aloy’s Nora outfit from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for some comedic effect.

Some of these spectacular Horizon Forbidden West cosplays have even garnered the recognition and approval of Guerrilla style Games, as was the case with one enthusiast who costumed as Aloy from the first Horizon Zero Dawn in preparation for Forbidden West’s premiere earlier this year.

It isn’t only Aloy fans earning accolades from the studio either, as Guerrilla also applauded a Horizon Zero Dawn Sylens cosplayer for their outstanding portrayal of Aloy’s cold and calculating ally.

Guerilla Games has again highlighted a talented Horizon Forbidden West cosplayer by posting a fantastic shot of the heroine drawing her bow on the company’s official Twitter account. Instagram cosplayer cindys beskarschmiede created this outfit, which portrays Aloy in one of her many different Horizon Forbidden West costumes.

Photographer and digital artist Jan Stoklasek took it. The photo was taken using Horizon Forbidden West’s in-game Photo Mode, and the hashtag “BeyondTheHorizon” is often used to draw attention to spectacular cosplays or in-game screenshots.

Regardless of the future of the Horizon franchise, the continued popularity of Horizon Forbidden West is evidenced by the large number of cosplayers that dress up as Aloy or Sylens at conventions. It’s fantastic that Guerrilla Games promotes the fan community’s efforts by sharing Horizon Zero Dawn Aloy cosplays on social media.
