There goes the hype among the Fortnite userbase with the Luminary Hypatia pack being promoted. Yet this happy crowd happens to be a minority. FNBRintel reported mixed opinions: while some are thrilled about this pack cameo, others regard it as recycling. If I had to say so, these absurd reactions deserve all our attention.
First of all, some clarifications. So, the pack is brand new, they say? Well, quick to point out were many players: it looks quite familiar. One player somberly said, “I’m sorry to tell you, but this item is not New. It was a previous quest pack about a year maybe two ago.” Yikes! If this is indeed true, then might Epic actually be recycling old content instead of viable new ones?
Regarding the design, RASCLART stayed true to the sentiment: “Another uninspired boring white gorl futuristic flat ass looking bitch.” Harsh? Maybe. But gamers want to have standards, especially when they’re paying real money for it. And then some optimistic ones chimed in, Mushroom Witch included: “I hope she has a good design!!!” The two sides of Fortnite players never cease to entertain me.
The prices cause more uproar. Some say 1,200 V-Bucks, while others want to know if it’s a level-up pack. KnightOfGod2004 said, “Fck the ugly skin, I’m only getting her for the levels if she’s a level up pack.” Priorities, right? Then cashangel commented on the timing, “Feel like this should’ve released near start of battle pass so that people would buy for the levels.” Right, because mid-season releases aren’t totally spontaneous.
Then comes this nostalgia-fest: Players like VictorVanDam just said stuff like “For a second I thought old Level-Up packs were coming back…” Unfortunately, they’re getting what some are calling a “ripoff Miku” (Legodude56 deserves credit for that). Even the name starts off the conversation—GKSprinkles asked, “New? So what’s different? The name? Or will she have another style?” A fair question.
Though those who went sour remained, there were definitely some who never really minded it. N0b0dyImp0rt4nt thought it was “p cool,” while ilov3badussy exclaimed: “thank GOD I NEVER FINISHED MY STYLES GOR IT!” It’s not all negativity. And then with the real question, will Epic see it and respond to the mourners, or will this be another day for the Item Shop?
Vibe eternity is the truth of an unquiet community in Fortnite. The spirit is gonna scream back, woo-hoo or boo-wah! That just explains why the culture within the game just glows. Now, all we have to do is wait and see if Luminary Hypatia will bring in some, uh… quite passionate feedback for Astronomical.
