If you thought that Destiny 2 couldn’t plate any heavier on a challenging aspect, well, let me instead tell you that one of the craziest ever in-game challenges has been completed by streamer SamiKat-a complete solo run through a Master dungeon, all bows, no HUD in Warlord’s Ruin-that has taken 19.5 hours to finish.
Yes, it really is fifteen-and-a-half hours.
The run was featured in a 29-hour stream, which itself is a feat of madness, but the mad part, in particular, her doing it with ONLY bows and no HUD (meaning no radar, no health bar, nothing)! That level of challenge is one for the books: how does one take it? Out of the box, and that’s Sammy Kat! And she did it flawlessly.
The reaction in the comments by gamers has become off the charts. D0PEB0T was spot on: “Daaaaang that’s wild 😎😎.” Meanwhile, SeraphimRed “Absolutely amazing” with 20 more emojis. That means I agree.
The catch here: For the entirety of this run, Samikat had to stay in the same instance, for Warlord’s Ruin was no longer the featured dungeon. Meaning, if she turned away, she wouldn’t get back in. That was it. Ten minutes of break at the most. Concentrating for almost 24 hours.
The Destiny 2 community went wild upon the accomplishment. ExSaucci said that it was “a fucking insane achievement!” while others, including Kathryn__U (a.k.a. Mrs. IndoorKat), were idly cheering “Team Bow forever! Congrats, love! You’re a beast!” So join the masses who are agreeing.
Even crazier? She racked up 12,000 kills during the Run. TWELVE. THOUSAND. That’s more than some people rack up in a whole season.
Now the question remains: Will she ever do it again? SamiKat: “Never again.” But knowing how these things go, something equally ridiculous might just be lined up for next week.
For now, the Bow Queen sits on her throne. That is very well-earned.
So if you had the slightest thought: “Destiny 2 is way too easy,” just wipe that thought off your brain and remember: Somewhere, SamiKat is doing major damage to a Master dungeon solo with nothing but a bow and her sheer force of will. Those vibes are something we all can relate to.
Congrats, Sami. Now please get some sleep because you deserve it.
