Epic Games has declared downtime for Season 4 to officially commence at 1:30 AM Eastern Time on August 7. And head explodes thinking about all the mixed hype, salty feelings, and confusion in the responses. Classic Fortnite community, never change.
So, first, a few words about downtime: It is basically just non-Fortnite time. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Servers offline, updates installed, and players just sitting there, wondering whether it is sleep time or check-time for new leaks on Twitter. The tweet was very straightforward, no tease, just the date, time, and fire emoji. Now the replies?? They are truly golden.
People really treating it like a holiday. User @zwitterati101 said with much cool, “Marked my calendar for this new season 4 😎🔥” with @MFTFGames joking about taking the day off as a side note. (Side note: Imagine trying to explain to your boss that you need PTO for Fortnite. Legend.) But some are not exactly thrilled. @Zobaspatatas uttered words I feel in my spirit: “I already hate it.” Same, man. Same).
Now the topic about the season theme. Aliens? Bugs? Or maybe nothing at all?
