The Fortnite community will be ecstatic if the word is true about Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2099 set for a comeback. This information came from a viral tweet by @TheAgentShadow in the Fortnite community. And really, who wouldn’t be hyped for this? These two fan-favorite characters from Spider-Verse are arguably some of the coolest skins released by Epic, so yes, this is a big one.

The sole question we all have for every Fortnite finale or rumor is when. Players are already demanding a date, like @YassinNour46201, while Epic remains tight-lipped. The tweet, however, did not give an exact date for the release other than that it will be “soon.” And with Fortnite, soon could mean tomorrow or the next season. Classic Epic.

The reply chain cascades a baffling concoction of excitement, demands, and confusion. A number of players (like @Nekviii) are begging for the original Marvel Battle Pass skins to return, including those of Spider-Man (from Chapter 3, Season 1) and Spider-Gwen (from Chapter 3, Season 4). And honestly? Fair. Those skins were fire, and a lot of players are still hurting from missing out on them since they were locked behind a Battle Pass. @Nekviii even tagged several leakers, including @ShiinaBR, @HYPEX, and @iFireMonkey, with the hope of getting one rare glimpse behind the curtain. No luck yet, but never is a long time.

Then there was @The_Umbra2 wondering about the symbiote skins and Mortal Kombat collabs. Because why not? If Epic’s bringing back Spider-Verse characters, might as well throw in Venom and Scorpion while they’re at it, right? On a similar note, @Sukugon_ wonders if that means other Spiderverse skins would return too. Like, will we see Peter B. Parker and Spider-Punk again? These opportunities just keep coming, and honestly, it would be insane not to.

Not everyone is very happy. @LoverOfNeru says that no purchase of Spiderverse will happen until Spider-Gwen makes it back. And honestly, it’s understandable. Battle Pass exclusives have become a curse, and players are just growing tired of missing out on skins just for not having played that specific season. Meanwhile, @Evmith had to point out that Spider-Gwen is BP-exclusive, which certainly stings. But then came @2edgyneko saying that now that Chun-Li’s back, maybe it’s a good omen, and maybe Epic might defy their own rules after all. Maybe, just maybe.

And then come the crazy ones. @PinPon228 is still on the case with demanding Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, because surely there should be another version in the mix. And @A_A_R0Nofficial wants Levi and Mikasa from the Attack on Titan series back as well. Sure, throw in all the anime characters while you’re at it. @MyCrypt_ mentions Solo Leveling, One Punch Man, and Devil May Cry because apparently, Fortnite collaboration possibilities are unmatched.

Not to forget the madness from @WheatWunderluck, who replied with “WHO CARES NIGGA!!!!!!” following with an incoherent picture. The kind of vibes one gets every single time from Twitter. Meanwhile, @TheMitch_TMZ declared they have every Spider-Man skin in the game and now wants more related characters like MJ, Green Goblin, and Black Cat. That’s dedication.

So yeah, the Fortnite communal buzz has very good reasons behind it. While long overdue, Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2099 return needs to be again declared, being two of the classiest skins out there. Will Epic use the occasion of a larger Spiderverse event to launch them? Will they bring back old favorites like Gwen? Or will they toss them into the universe for an under-the-radar release thanks to all their ghosts? The time will provide the answer. But one thing’s for sure, as soon as they hit the Item Shop, there will be a serious drain on all Andersons’ wallets across the board. Time to start hoarding V-Bucks already.
