All Destiny 2 players will love this tease released by Bungie for tomorrow’s major developer livestream that seems rather hot. Apart from deep-diving into The Edge of Fate campaign, we are promised a look at Kepler (whatever that is??) and some grand alterations to the power, progression, and—[wait for it]—Portal core systems. The latter one is frankly puzzling.

The stream starts at 10 AM PT, and if you have even a little interest in the never-ending tale that is Destiny, you better be tuning in. Bungie remained mum on the details, but just thinking about changes to the progression and power systems means that change is in the air at last. Maybe they are finally going to apply the fix for Hunter Dodge? Or—dare I dream—finally roll out the anti-cheat they’ve promised forever? (I’m looking at you, @James_harbo.)

Some folks aren’t happy at all. The responses to Bungie’s tweet range from hype, doubt, to downright salty. Some, such as @HiredGunSG, point to how many repeats they feel they have been through: “Nothing changes in this game. Fight the same enemy factions over and over. Same battlepass items. Same artifact garbage every release.” Ouch. And then we have @Crabinizer taking the wait-and-see approach: “Meh, I’ll wait a year and get it for 3 bucks.”

And then, we got the refund team. Several players, including @kylenature2, are threatening to walk away if issues like Titan’s Hammer pickup and seasonal weapon setups don’t blow over: “A lot of us are refunding because of this BS.” Meanwhile, @Destiny_Warlox is now in a battle to get their refund processed on PSN—apparently not an easy task in 2025.

But that’s not all doom and gloom. Some spirits of hope still shine through—maybe. “This is for the pre-order. I hope for cool things,” said @DJSH9011. And let’s not forget the Gambit crowd—shout out to @ReaperknivesX, who just wants Gambit Prime returned so that they can “lock into a roll that matters again.” (Bungie, pls.)

What is the verdict? Tomorrow could really be something extraordinary, or it could yet again be “98% things we already know, 2% things we don’t care about.” (Cheers for that math, @Gryps7666.) Either way, Destiny communities are more divided than ever-another set of communities ready to throw money at the screen and another ready to throw their controllers.

One thing I do most definitely know: if there isn’t an actual delivery, the backlash will be louder than a Cabal drop pod. A lot of pressure for this now, especially with Destiny 3 whispers (hi, @shadoww_moon).

Make sure to catch the stream tomorrow, and may the Light or at least an anti-cheat be with you.
