Nintendo has revealed a new video containing upcoming updates for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The update will contain content related to the Fall season with a focus on Halloween. The update will be available on September 30. \n \nThe 90-second video immediately displays some of the Halloween themed furniture and clothing coming soon. The islander is wearing a new orange and black dress with black shoes and a purple horned headband. She also has pale skin and red eyes. These items will be available in the Able Sister's shop. \n \nNook's Cranny will sell new items in preparation for Halloween. In the lower left-hand corner, the shop will sell one Halloween-themed item a day. Players can also purchase candy to give away on Halloween. Candy is sold in the Miscellaneous cabinet for 120 bells each. \n \nGardeners will finally have something new to tend. Players will gain pumpkin seeds to grow a variety of orange, light orange, and white pumpkins. The pumpkins are necessary for DIY recipes. One of the recipes includes a Jack-o-lantern scarecrow. \n \n \n \nThe Halloween event takes place on October 31 from 5 PM until midnight. The event will start at the main town square. Villagers will dress in costumes and gather together, similar to the recent fireworks event. The villagers will also shout "Trick or Treat" and request candy. \n \nJack, the Czar of Halloween, will make his first appearance in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. In previous games, Jack has asked for candy, and in return, he gives the player special furniture. If not, he'll play a trick on the player. \n \nThe NookLink app will receive an update planned for early October. Players will be able to use the app to perform Reactions easily. One of the upcoming Halloween Reactions will be included for "Haunt." \n \nWhen the update is available, players will receive a notification asking if they would like to download and install it or play the game anyway. After the game is updated, players will be prepped for the new content starting in October. As an additional bonus, anyone who downloads the September 30 update will receive the ring-con from Ring Fit Adventures in-game as a free gift. \n \nThe next update is coming in late November. The update is related to Harvest Day in late November, including the appearance of Franklin. Another holiday-themed guest, Jingle, will re-appear as well. \n \nAnimal Crossing: New Horizons is available now on the Nintendo Switch.
