Publisher Maximum Games has confirmed a physical release for Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid Collector’s Edition. The game was released in April 2019 but continues to receive new content through Season Passes and individual character releases. The developer, nWay, has also continued to update the game with balance patches and resolving various issues.
The Collector’s Edition will come bundled with some previously released content plus Lauren Shiba. Lauren is the older sister of Jayden from Power Rangers Super Samurai and becomes the second Red Ranger in the series. Lauren will also be released for digital owners of the game on September 15.
Lauren is part of the Season Pass 3, along with Robert James or the Wolf Ranger from Power Rangers Jungle Fury. There is one more paid character who will launch with the bundle, but it’s not yet known who that character will be.
The exclusive Dai Shi Phantom Beast Skin was announced as a free skin with the bundle, plus the Ultra Samurai Megazord and Magasord Revamp. Dai Shi was the main villain in Power Rangers Jungle Fury.
The publisher has also announced a preorder bonus for those who act fast. Players will receive two copies of the Green Ranger V2 skin. There are two copies so that players can share the other with a friend.
The physical Collector’s Edition will contain everything in the digital version:
- Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid base game
- Season 1 Content: Jen Scotts – Time Force Pink Ranger, Trey of Triforia – Zeo Gold Ranger and Lord Zedd, plus the exclusive Red Dragon Shield skin for Jason Lee Scott
- Exclusive Lord Drakkon Evo II Skin
- Exclusive Kimberly Hart, Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger Skin
Fans of the series may remember a previous Nintendo Switch physical release through Limited Run Games, which has been sold out for months. The Collector’s Edition is a separate release and won’t come with the same bonuses. The box art also differs.
Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid is currently available on PC, Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch as a digital download.
The physical Collector’s Edition will launch only for consoles, but not for PC. Players can preorder the game now.
The Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid Physical Collector’s Edition launches on October 6.
