One of the bigger games scheduled to release this year is Cyberpunk 2077, a futuristic RPG that is already showing a lot of promise. CD Projekt Red has clearly made it a passion project as is clear with its in-depth augment systems, story, and open world. This game just has so many things going for it that you can bet gamers will be flocking to it when it releases later in September. \n \nBefore this game was in development — though — there was The Witcher 3. It’s one of CD Projekt Red’s finest works to date. It has risen in popularity over the past few months thanks to the Netflix show. Even still in 2020, it’s a fun RPG to spend countless hours playing. But what about a sequel? The game has done so well commercially that it seems like a no-brainer for the developer to keep the series going strong. \n \nhttps:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1jv0s8UxIpk \n \nWell, there may finally be light at the end of the tunnel to that effect. President of the studio — Adam Kicinski — may have shown their hand regarding a new Witcher game. In a recent discussion, he said the studio is already working on a single-player project. He didn’t flat out confirm a new Witcher game, but based on previous statements the developer has made in the past confirming their commitment to the franchise, it’s pretty safe to assume a new Witcher game is on the way. \n \nThere are so many directions CD Projekt Red can go in with a new installment. Its fantasy world is full of so many possibilities. The developer has only touched the surface. Not only that, but the monster variety still can be refined. And based on the developer constantly innovating this beloved series, there’s no telling how much better the franchise can get as a whole. \n \nFor now, the developer has its sights set on the release of Cyberpunk 2077. It’s innovating the RPG space in a lot of different ways, so it’s only right that much of the studio will be trying to ensure a smooth launch. Of course, there will be problems out of the gate — but CD Projekt Red has always done a good job at making the necessary adjustments. \n \nOnce this game does get off the ground and rolling post-launch, we can start looking toward a new Witcher game. That’s pretty exciting to think about as The Witcher series truly is one of the best to date.
