That’s true too in American Truck Simulator. It just received a special event called Christmas Wise Giving where players get to go around making deliveries to different cities for a chance to earn personal and community awards.

The event couldn’t have come at a better time because who hasn’t wanted to be Santa Claus for a day, bringing cheer throughout areas that truly need it? The giving spirit is certainly needed in real life considering the effects of Covid-19.

At least in American Truck Simulator, gamers can focus on positivity and spreading joy one delivery at a time. Last year’s giving event was a huge success. Many players joined in on the festivities and that laid the foundation for this year’s event.

Only, now players will have to give wisely if they want to earn some cool rewards — with some of them having an apt holiday theme.

The rewards system has been outlined by the developer. According to SCS Software, hearts will be awarded to cities for the number of deliveries provided while Gifts will be based on deliveries received. All of it goes towards a community goal.

Overall, the giving event seems like a great way to spread some cheer to areas in a strategic manner. If you’re looking for a full breakdown of the event’s rules, you can visit the official blog post from the developer. Everything is pretty straightforward and should be a good time for interested participants.

It’s a great way to earn some cool stuff, such as new truck cosmetics and decor to show off on the interior. It’s also just fun to see the community come together for a positive goal. 2020 has been a pretty insane year all things considered. In the video game sector, companies and gamers are fortunately still coming together and that’s great to see.
