Natsume recently introduced the two playable protagonists for its upcoming farming simulator game Harvest Moon: One World. The characters were shown on social media and a blog post on the Natsume website. Both characters are seen standing on a cliff along with a short bio.

While most of the games allow players to rename their character, Natsume is looking for a default name for the protagonists. The company asked players for name suggestions for the characters would be. No matter what fans choose, the name is optional to use in-game.

Previously in June, Natsume introduced the playable female protagonist. She was introduced with her character illustration and a short description. She also didn’t have an official name yet, but Natsume was accepting suggestions. The male protagonist was later introduced in July with an unknown default name.

Those interested in following the development of the game can visit Natsume’s official social media accounts. The company is still accepting suggestions for the official names of their female and male protagonist.

When Harvest Moon: One World is released, players will get to choose from either the male or female farmer. The decision will change some aspects of the game, such as the marriage candidate choices.

Harvest Moon: One World focuses on farming in a larger space. Characters will have more freedom to explore in a 3D world. Some of the locations include beaches, mountains, deserts, mountains, and more.

Along with exploring the new regions is the emphasis on farming. Players will get access to various seeds to plant crops to sell for profit. Farmers will also get to take care of various animals. The full list of crops and animals that will appear in the game are still unknown.

The release of Harvest Moon: One World may come a few months after the launch of XSEED and Marvelous Games’ Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town remake.

The name still brings some confusion to players of the decades-old series. The current version of Harvest Moon is unrelated to Story of Seasons. Natsume retains rights over the name and is creating its own original farming simulator games. XSEED and Marvelous continue to localize and release the Bokujo Monogatari series, which has been renamed as Story of Seasons.
