Blizzard’s rework of the legendary system for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands has proven a rather popular method. Players have a much easier time obtaining and upgrading their legendary items now than they have in most previous expansions.

Nowadays, players need to decide on which legendary power they want to use and find out where they would find it. The powers are obtainable from all sorts of sources – raid bosses, dungeon bosses, vendors, and the new Torghast, Tower of the Damned.

Considering that creating one requires Soul Ash from Torghast, it seems a bit convenient to be able to grab your legendary power from doing a wing that you were going to need to do anyway. However, if the wing that you need isn’t open, you may be out of luck.

For example, let’s assume your legendary power drops in Skoldus Hall, but the wing isn’t open this week. You may have to wait as long as two or three weeks just to obtain your power, much less craft it.

This is even more problematic when you consider that legendary powers are such a massive boost to some classes. Some specs have their most powerful build based entirely around a legendary power, so missing out on one can set your character on hold while you wait to obtain the needed power.

Thankfully, Blizzard has made it so that players are able to obtain these a bit easier. Recently, players became able to unlock the Twisting Corridors within Torghast, which gives players an 18-floor challenge of Torghast, using three wings instead of one.

At every sixth floor, players will encounter a boss before moving onto the next wing – unless it’s the eighteenth floor, of course, which will end the challenge and send players back home. The bosses here are the same bosses one would find in the wing if it was being run normally.

So if a player needs a legendary power from one of these bosses, their chance is just as good here as in a normal Torghast wing! Players that need to obtain a power from a currently-unavailable wing are able to find it in the Twisting Corridors instead.

This helps prevent players from being locked out of the power they need to get their build going, effectively stopping the lock out that the rotating wings can inadvertently cause. It also can prove a bit easier due to an overabundance of powers, though it undoubtedly takes longer.

Players are happy to see that they can get their powers without having to wait weeks for a wing to open up. If you’ve been struggling without your power, you might be able to obtain it easier in the Twisting Corridors of Torghast!
